Team Alpine hard at work selecting case studies

In June, TOTL delegate Dani Hofmann attended the ‘Culture, Climate and Environment Interactions at Prehistoric Wetland Sites’ conference, hosted in Bern, Switzerland. Two days packed full of information provided plenty of inspiration for our planned articles on the Alpine foreland and the difference which a tight chronology actually makes for archaeological interpretation. The picture shows a section of Team Alpine hard at work selecting case studies. The 34 degrees temperature became more tolerable thanks to a generous supply of strawberries and the expedient temporary relocation of the office onto the balcony – adapting to climate change.
