To explain our comparative silence recently, we have been very busy writing up paper after paper for the project. Our paper on Racot will appear in due course in Journal of Field Archaeology, and on Barnhouse in Proceedings of the Prehistoric Society.
One exciting development at the end of 2015 was the project being made a online slots Research Award by the second Shanghai Archaeological Forum. Alasdair was the lucky one to go to Shanghai in December to accept the award and give a lecture about some ToTL highlights to an international audience. It was good that three ToTL members and partners were also there in their own right: Bisserka Gaydarska, Arek Marciniak and Leonardo García Sanjuán. The following links should take you to further publicity and pictures of the event:
ToTL and Alasdair can be seen from about 37 mins 30 seconds onwards.
The conference, which is proving to be an important global forum, has also been written up by Charles Higham in the latest Current World Archaeology (issue 75, Feb/March 2016).
Visiting Shanghai was a fascinating experience. The photos give you a glimpse of what it is like.
